Agretti, also known as saltwort, Salsola soda or Monk's beard, is a small succulent vegetable native to the Mediterranean basin grown along the coastline. In flavour it is not too far away from Samphire, but has a finer texture and softer taste.
Suitable especially for steaming, blanching, or sauteeing then tossing in olive oil + lemon. Great on own, with fish or meats.
