At Shelford Deli, the safety and wellbeing of our staff, our suppliers, and our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Attention to detail is implicit in our work, whether it is in producing food, selecting specialist produce or serving our community.
We are a five-star rated business with rigorous food safety and hygiene programmes well established so that we are able to mitigate risks and ensure very high safety in the products we offer. These hygiene routines are constantly monitored whilst in progress, including now, and it is our every intention to continue our very high level of care throughout this Covid-19 pandemic. We had already instigated enhanced hygiene measures within our shops, production, and office before lockdown became official, closing our seated area before legally required to, as we felt it was obviously the right decision and would help flatten the curve faster for everyone’s sake.
We continue with that same attention to detail now, monitoring all aspects of the covid-19 updated government guidelines for food premises. We are up to date with the most recent developments and discuss our plans and strategy on a daily basis. We ensure our staff adhere closely to all related government advice and have performed a Covid-19 risk assessment to ensure all areas have been reviewed appropriately.
While continue operating and providing essential + specialist groceries and the best service we can, we closely follow the advice of Public Health England and will continue monitoring this situation as it develops, diligently observing official guidelines.
We have followed all advice issued by HMRC – which has provided guidance and support for employers, employees and the business.
We are so pleased to have been well-placed to support our community throughout this pandemic, offering order collections to minimise waiting, and social distancing measures to keep everyone safe.
