DESERT FENNEL
Origin: Wild arid regions of Fayoum, Egypt
Flavour: Sweet, aromatic anise with a wild herbal edge this fennel has a licorice aroma with a fresh, bright taste. This anise-like flavour is sure to bring a refreshing sensation to your cooking. You’ll taste a slight saltiness, that's the flavour of the sandy desert soil, followed by a sharp sweetness at the finish.
How to use:
Great with slow cooking.
• Roast Pork (porchetta) or Roasted Carrots
• Stirfries, curries and roast squash
• Tomato sauces and traditional pastas
• crushed with sundried tomatoes + garlic on labneh
