WILD MOUNTAIN CUMIN SEEDS
Origin: High-altitude region of Badakhshan, in the Hindou Kush mountains of Afghanistan
Flavour: Wild mountain cumin not like your standard store-bought cumin. It is conspicuously aromatic, bright, flavourful and renownedly delicious. It’s deliciously savoury, penetratingly aromatic and bright, and has a sensational umami flavour reminiscent of grilled meats and sweet caramelized onions. Its flavour and aroma is characterized by grilled onions, dried apricots and mountain air- what a delight!
How to use:
The unique character of this farm, including its aesthetic and biological structure, gives birth to an ancient and resilient variety of cumin, which is a different species to regular cumin - other names for it include persian cumin or black cumin. This variety has a warm pungent flavour and irresistible aroma.
• Soups, Curries - great in garam masala mix
• Lentils and amazing hummus
• Spice rubs, roasting meats
